CHAMPING with Canoe2 and The Churches Conservation Trust
We're very excited to announce that Canoe2 has teamed up with The Churches Conservation Trust, creating an absolutely unique new experience - camping in a church, or... "CHAMPING"
A number of different Champing stays are being offered for 2016, some with canoeing, some without, but all utilising one of the Trust's many exquisite historic churches, the magnificent medieval All Saints Church in the picturesque village of Aldwincle in Northamptonshire.
MORE PICTURES CAN BE FOUND TOWARD THE BOTTOM OF OUR GALLERY PAGE
The church is almost cavernous in feel, with few furnishings, offering a rare chance to see its beautiful limestone arcades and arches up close.
Bookings will benefit from use of the church on an exclusive basis for the night, and the minimum party size is 2 people. Minimum age for children is 8 years.
Trip itineries are still being confirmed for 2016, but options are likely to inclde home-cooked three course meals at Pear Tree Farm in Aldwincle, breakfast delivered to the church in the morning, and excellent entertainment in the form of a professional storyteller, adding to the wonderful welcoming atmosphere back at the church, before heading off to bed in your truly unique accommodation.
And of course, if you select the canoeing option, we haven't forgotten the basics, with trips including hire of your canoe & all related equipment such as paddles, buoyancy aids, watertight containers and portage trolleys. And, of course, pick-up at the start or end of your trip, as might be appropriate.
