Canoe2 – Pay n Paddle at Billing Aquadrome
“Paddle-tastic” somebody said, when they heard that from Saturday 29th May 2010 they’ll be able to hire canoes by the hour from Billing Aquadrome. And who are we to disagree?
Easily found, just inside the Aquadrome entrance, you’ll be able to hire our large open Canadian canoes (perfect for novices) on Weekends & Bank Holidays until the end of September. Please note, if you are planning to visit Billing simply to hire our canoes, be sure to phone ahead first – there are days when we are unable to open. Also, please phone if you want to come during the week – we may well be there.
From the marina you can paddle out to the River Nene, and explore this fabulous, beautiful stretch of river as far as Cogenhoe Lock, perhaps stopping for a picnic along the way. By the time you get back to the Aquadrome, you’ll no doubt have worked up a thirst, and perhaps a bit of an appetite, and you’ll be spoilt for choice with a number of excellent outdoor & indoor options around the marina.

Paddles & Buoyancy Aids are included in your hire, and we’ll talk you through
a safety briefing and some information about the river, as well as some tips
on how to control your canoe.
Keeping it safe:
We do have a few age restrictions: one (and we’re really sorry about this) is that we can’t let any children under 5 years of age in the canoes at all. Also, we’ll always insist on at least one adult per canoe (that’s 18 or over). Other than that, if you have children/teenagers in your party aged between 5 & 17, please give us a call to check on appropriate combinations, on 01604 832115
