With up to two hours on the water, start with a gentle paddle across the lake, then explore the beautiful River Nene.
Perfect as a first-time paddle.
Unless conditions dictate otherwise, you will generally stay between our two nearest locks on the river, exploring the lovely sheltered stretch of river amidst the local Nature Reserve, perhaps choosing to explore downstream as far as Higham Ferrers Lock.
When you paddle back, perhaps enjoy one of the many excellent cafe’s & restaurants before heading home.

With the convenience of paddling out and back from Rushden Lakes, this shorter, great value paddle is also a great option for regular exercise.
