This canoe camping trip includes two nights camping, so you can set up camp the night before your paddle begins

With a 4-mile paddle, starting from Thrapston Nine Arches Bridge on day one, you'll be back at the peaceful camp location at Wadenhoe with beautiful views over The Nene Valley.

The second day is a similar distance with 2 or 3 hours on the water again

Often the choice of Stag & Hen groups, and is a great couple of days for anybody looking for a beautiful stretch of river, with lots of fresh air, who is also hoping for a slow, relaxed start and a short paddle on your second day.

Includes transport back at end of your trip, and your camping pitch fees for both nights.

Where, When & Who

Great for all-adult groups, but with fairly short paddles each day, equally fun for family groups that have perhaps paddled once or twice before.

9.30am check-in at Thrapston Nine Arches Bridge

You’ll enjoy a thorough Safety Briefing, Paddle Demo, and chat about your route, before you set off independently, with river map & notes to ease your way downstream.

Pick up to bring you back after short second day paddling, usually at 2.00pm, but as a bespoke trip, we can pre-arrange alternative times if you prefer.

Highlights

Two Days / Two Nights

Camp at Wadenhoe for 2 nights (1st night before your paddle begins) – lovely rural location

Tents are pitched in part of a farmers field, exclusively used by our campers, and with beautiful wide views across The Nene Valley.

This is not quite “Wild Camping”, but facilities are kept very simple – Just a drinking water tap, and a single portaloo.

After first night camping, drive down to your start-point at Thrapston to begin your first day, paddling back to camp.

Transport back to start-point after second day paddling

These trips all benefit from canoeing calm, scenic stretches of river, and end-of-trip pick-up

All in all, it’s the most wonderful way to have fun discovering the beautiful River Nene Valley.
